"Park Keepers" is a civic initiative from Belgrade, made up of a team of neighbors, anthropologists, architects, designers and cultural managers, gathered to organize and arrange Plato, an open space located between Mileševska Street, Car Nikola II Street and Radoslav Grujić Street. The project of co-operation between the members of the initiative and the local community is supported by Belgrade's International Architecture Week and is a part of the European project SCCM: Shared Cities Creative Momentum. During the previous period, the "Park Keepers" initiative devised and carried out a series of actions and meetings, dialogues and workshops on the Plato, where users of the space, neighbors of all ages, were able analyze the space, express their needs, map out unused parts of the space, and give suggestions for their arrangement. These proposals were carefully listened to, recorded and mapped, and ideas got their spatial form. On Saturday, November 25, at 12 o'clock there will be a grand opening of the old but at the same time new place for neighbors, with food and beverages, a workshop for children, and dance party. Come to hang out with us, creatively contemplate space and take an active part in the dynamics of neighbor life.
