After the period between the end of a BINA 2019th and 2021st year, in the field of architecture and urbanism in Serbia and the region numerous awards were given and competitions were held through various categories: architecture and interior design projects, student projects, realized projects of our architects in our country and abroad, but also for scientific studies and works. On the eve of the upcoming BINA, let's see what these projects are.

A period after the BINA 2019th was followed by the award ceremony of the Association of Fine Artists of Applied Arts and Designers of Serbia (ULUPUDS), as well as the 51st May exhibition of ULUPUDS called Breath, opened on June 8th 2019.
In December 2019th, the Annual Award for Architecture of the Association of Architects of Serbia was awarded for the most successful work in the field of architecture for 2018th - the "Aleksej Brkić" award, for the most successful architectural work in the field of architecture realized in 2018th and several equal recognitions, as well as the Award for the most successful student project of architecture, created during the student process for 2018. The Award for the most successful student project of architecture was also given to students of architecture, created during the student process for 2019, for the master's final diploma thesis and one student project. The Association of Architects of Serbia awarded the Commendation of the jury at the competition for the annual award "Aleksej Brkić" for 2019, as well as the Award "Ranko Radović" for 2019 through several categories. Despite the year in which it was not possible to organize large social events, in 2020th awards in the field of architecture were given in a more or less standard rhythm.
The "Ranko Radović" award was given in several categories: "Critical theoretical texts on architecture, urbanism and the city", "Realized architectural work" and "Television shows, exhibitions, multimedia presentations".
42nd Salon of architecture called Persistent-Resistent was organized in the fall of the same year with several awarded authors from this field. The Grand Prize of Architecture - Grand Prix was given in the category "Guest of the Salon", "Interior", "Publication", "Experiment and Research". The Grand Prize of Architecture of the Association of Architects of Serbia for lifetime achievement for 2019th was not awarded, due to the specific, mentioned conditions. The City of Belgrade Award for Architecture and Urbanism was also awarded, and during the closing ceremony of the 52nd May Exhibition of ULUPUDS (Artistic Coup) on October 30th 2020, 11 more awards were given.
By a unanimous decision of the Jury / Expert Council on January 15th 2020, the work that will represent the Republic of Serbia at the 17th Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2020th was selected, for the author team: Iva Bekić (responsible representative), Irena Gajić, Dalia Dukanac Stefan Djordjevic, Snežana Zlatković, Mirjana Ješić, Hristina Stojanović and Petar Cigić under the name: 8th km - call for ideas / Eighth kilometer: survey competition.
